Human Imagination gave humans the ability to visualize images and ideas in their own mind,
to be creative, to invent new technologies, to create complex languages that could convey abstract ideas, to explain everything we encountered
(even though most of the time it was incorrect), to create stories, myths, religions, laws, everything it takes to run a civilization. This creative imagination,
an incredible new force, gave people the power to progress from a primitive form of life to the highly complex technological being we are today.
It gave us the power to become aware of the wonders of the Universe!
HUMANS AND IMAGINATION
Here on Earth, archaeological evidence indicates it was introduced about 40 thousand years ago.
It was an entirely new life phenomenon, a quantum leap in the evolution of life. A new chapter was opening in the story of the Homo sapiens, which would eventually
evolve into our present civilization. It allowed mankind to have greater control over its own destiny than any other form of life on the planet. Human imagination created the
“Homo Imaginative Sapiens” species. That's what we are! We are imaginative animals. Take away our imagination and what do we have? - “An eagle may have much keener
eyes then ours but it cannot "see" the things that we can!”
Human imagination is the key difference between man and animals. It is a tremendous power that has elevated mankind to a higher level of existence.
It is responsible for all that mankind has achieved in the past or will ever achieve in the future. Human imagination has created the "MIND" of mankind,
a creative force that will eventually prevail over everything that nature allows. It has made mankind the master of its own destiny.
The mind is another dimension of nature's power to create; we create things that nature otherwise could not.
The other primates and animals may have a limited imagination - enough to prosper and survive but that is their limit.
Not even the Neanderthals had Human imagination on their side, and they were the most intelligent and successful beings until modern man came along.
Human imagination is unique to modern man. It opened up the wonders of the universe to mankind. It varies greatly within the Homo sapiens species -
there is only a relatively small percentage of super minds (creative geniuses) that have propelled mankind forward throughout the ages.
The rest of us benefit from their works.
In the dawn of the 20th century, people did not yet have the advantage of a microscope - they were not invented for another couple of years.
But what they did have was their powerful imaginations, which they used to explain everything they encountered, whether it was right or wrong.
It was only when some 'geniuses' used their creative imagination to invent the microscope were we able to the see the little buggers and
come up with the correct answers.
IMAGINATION AND FACT
Some of us still believe the theories that were invented with pure imagination, and ignore scientific fact.
We think that this is completely viable, because even science has proven to be unreliable. Take for example, gravity. Why gravity?
Because it is one of the most over-understood topics on earth. First of all, we don’t really know how gravity is created.
Second of all, the theory of gravity is flawed in more ways than one; it’s just that the propagators do not popularize those flaws.
To give you a taste of these flaws, remember how everyone keeps cribbing how the gravity of the moon keep creating tidal waves on a full moon night?
You must have guessed what we’re about to say; yes, that is untrue, and the believers agree to it as well. In other words, science isn’t all that invincible, at least not yet.
Due to this reason, we must now rely on imagination to puzzle out how gravity is created,
what are its ‘real’ effects etc. We’d leave that for you to ponder upon.
